People with reduced mobility

The Frac Île-de-France is a partner of the SOUFFLEURS DE SENS association. A volunteer accompanies a blind or visually impaired person and describes the exhibitions or events related to the program. People with mental or psychological disabilities

Visits and discovery workshops can be tailored to groups of children, adults, or families upon request. The team is available to help group leaders prepare a visit or develop a specific project.


Tot’confort

Available at the reception desk of our exhibition venues, each Tot’Confort contains a selection of sensory and soothing objects that allow visitors to tailor their experience to their needs and reduce surrounding stimuli.

The Tot’Confort is intended for any visitor who wishes to enjoy a peaceful and personalized visit, independently and at their own pace.

The contents of each Tot’Confort:
- Stress ball
- Fidgets
- Emotion cards
- Noise-canceling headphones
- Weighted blankets
- FALC (facilitated access to communication) for the exhibition


FC (Facilitated Communication)

Documents presenting the structure in Easy-to-Read and Easy-to-Understand (FALC) format are available online and on request at reception.

These documents can also be downloaded to help you prepare for your visit on the practical information page.

A booklet in FALC also presents the exhibitions. You can request this booklet at reception to visit the exhibitions. You can also download this booklet to prepare for your visit. You can use it alone or in a group.

In 2025, a large part of the Frac team, including the entire visitor services department, will have been trained in accessibility issues relating to mental health and welcoming people with psychological, mental, and cognitive disabilities, as well as in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).


Blind and visually impaired people

The mediation team offers oral mediation services. The entire visitor services department at Frac Île-de-France has been made aware of visual impairments and trained in the principle of whispering.
